Our private classes are designed to provide a more personal learning experience within your own group. Students of any level are welcome. 

Our private wheel throwing class is 2-hours in length and it provides an introduction to working on the pottery wheel. You will learn the essential skills required to make a small cup or bowl. At the end of class, you will have the option of keeping your best piece, and we will fire and glaze them for you. Work will be ready for pick up 5-6 weeks after the class. 

If you would like to book a private class, email us at class.miekimstudio@gmail.com with your desired date, time and number of guests. Once dates are confirmed, you can make payment via our website.  

General Availability: 
Monday- Friday: 10am-12pm, 1-3pm, 3-5pm 
Thursday: 6-8pm or 7-9pm 
Saturday: 2-5pm, 5:30-7:30pm 
Sunday: 5:30-7:30pm 

Currently available: Monday, April 22nd (6-8pm or 7-9pm) or Monday, April 29th (6-8pm or 7-9pm)

1-3 people: $400
4 people: $450 
5 people: $500
6 people: $550
7 people: $600
8 people: $625
9 people: $650
10 people: $675

 *Full payment must be made in advance of the class. 

*Changes and cancellations are possible with 14 day notice. Please write us at class.miekimstudio@gmail.com indicating the date and time you would like to change.

Modification or cancellation request via email with more than 14 days' notice:

  • * You'll receive 50% of the class fee as store credit, which has no expiration date.
  • * If we can manage to find a replacement for your spot, you'll receive full credit, minus a $25 administration fee. There is no expiration date for store credit.
  • * You can transfer your class registration to friends or family to avoid losing the fees.

 

Modification or cancellation request via email with less than 14 days' notice:

  • * For last-minute requests, no credit is issued. 
  • * If we can manage to find a replacement for your spot, you'll receive full credit, minus a $25 administration fee. There is no expiration date for store credit. 
  • * You can transfer your class registration to friends or family to avoid losing the fees.

 

Absences :  Students are responsible for attending all classes.

  • * 2 weeks class: If a student is absent during the second week of an introductory class, our team will trim the piece on behalf of the student. 
  • * 6 weeks class: We will do our best to find you a spot in another class when there is an absence from other classes. Although, make-up classes are NOT something we can guarantee to offer. 
  • * Glazing classes: If you miss your final glazing session, we will do our best to find you a spot in another class. In the case there is no availability, we will glaze your piece with a white glaze. Or you have the option to bring your bisque pieces home and bring back to glaze them in the future session if you are planning to join the class again. 
  • * Open-studio: we do not offer replacement sessions for open-studio sessions.





1 day Class: Total amount payable by debit or credit card on our site 

2 Week Classes: Total amount payable by debit or credit card on our site

6 Week Classes: Deposit of $100 payable by debit or credit card on our site. Balance payable by e-transfer before the start of the 6-week sessions. You will receive an email on April 29th, two weeks before the first week of sessions with follow-up payment instructions. The final payment will be due on May 1st at 11pm. 

Open Studio: Total amount payable by debit or credit card on our site 

Private Class: After the confirmation of your session date and time through email, the total amount is payable by debit or credit card on our site.
