London Design Festival 2025

I am happy to present my work at the London Design Festival with Material Matters, which extends my ongoing research into foraged local clay into a new inquiry with industrial waste.

This project begins with discarded limestone collected from a stone factory in Montreal, originally quarried in St-Marc, Québec. Typically avoided in ceramics due to its instability, the material is reconsidered here for its sculptural potential.

Earlier this year, I participated in The Material Way program led by Bonnie of Natural Material Studio and Rita of Through Objects, which further informs this investigation into waste and instability. The piece explores how imperfection and unpredictability can open alternative approaches and perspectives in creative practice.
